About OPT Pulse

Independent community OPT tracker methodology

OPT Pulse helps F-1 students understand Optional Practical Training timelines with a verdict-first Case Checker and community OPT timeline data. This page explains where the data comes from, how comparisons work, and what OPT Pulse does not claim.

Community sources

Verified user submissions and public Reddit megathread ingest power the OPT tracker comparisons.

Verdict first

Case checks return a status conclusion before charts, tables, or dense processing statistics.

Informational only

OPT Pulse is not affiliated with USCIS and does not provide legal or immigration advice.

Data methodology

OPT Pulse combines direct community submissions with publicly available Reddit OPT and STEM OPT timeline reports. Records are normalized into common fields such as receipt date, case type, premium status, and approval timing when available.

Case Checker comparisons prefer similar cohorts: same case type and the same premium or regular path. When the sample is too small, the product surfaces an insufficient data state instead of inventing a false-precision verdict.

Reddit-sourced rows keep source links whenever possible so users can inspect the original report. OPT Pulse does not collect Reddit account identities or present scraped personal details as private account data.
